  • Yamaha Plans $500 Motorcycle in India
    Yamaha Motor Co. is planning to develop their cheapest motor cycle in the world in India, for being sold for around $500, as this Japanese maker of 2-wheeler battles along with rivals like Honda Motor Co. for bigger share in market. Hiroyuki Suzuki, the chief executive at India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd., recently said in one interview that they have done very well till now with their premium motorcycles for India & now they think that it is right time for addressing bigger part of market where the volumes are really high.   • Bieda’s wants to sport motorbikes
    Ronald Roy recently applied for amendment of zoning for permitting motor cycle sales & service @ Biedas Powersports @ 952 Foss Rd. @ Fenwick. This property is zoned now Agricultural A-51, permitting different uses that are related to the agriculture and snow mobile, all-terrain vehicles & Sea-Doo sales & service, activity area & area of open space. The town staff is recommending that the use of paved track @ rear of property for being limited to the test rides for the motorcycles & that the racing should get stopped. Public meeting for application rezoning failed in drawing any one to the town hall on Monday.     Massey’s stylish design of motorbike catches the notice of Honda. ASoD or Massey University Auckland School of Design has a lot of European designers & Honda take some notice. In one project that got initiated by senior lecturer at ASoD – Oliver Neuland, along with help & some input from Paolo Cuccagna, chief designer & manager @ Honda department of R&D at Rome, they had asked lot of students of Massey for sketching new motorcycle concept.  Neuland has experience for design of motorcycle in Europe as the designer @ BMW, MZ, & consultant at Aprillia.   • Brad Pitt visits London dealership
    Staff at dealership of London motorcycle was star struck after Brad Pitt walked in their showroom recently. The famous Hollywood actor had popped in to HGB Motorcycles at Ruislip & bought Bell Helmet & gloves of Alpinestars Kevlar. Later he posed for pictures. One source at this branch said that they were wondering what was going when 2 huge black cars had pulled up on the outside and there were plenty of bodyguards accompanying the automobiles. Then they saw Brad Pitt come out of the car and they couldn’t believe their eyes. The star from Hollywood has one house at Surrey along with Angelina Jolie, his wife.

  • Honda Makes it Official: 2013 CRF250L Coming to US
    Honda recently announced that CRF250L (which we blogged about in the month of April) will come to US as 2012 model product. This motor bike will have model of the same engine that was found in CBR250R which is tuned for the low end stronger power (along with smaller body of throttle, for example). The price of this product will be $4,499. With claimed weight of curb is about 320 pounds and is about 30 pounds lighter as compared to CBR250R. The weight includes the fluids, and hence dry weight actually should be less than 300 pounds which isn’t bad. The dual sport lacks any kind of adjustment of suspension, except for the preload of rear spring. Small two gallon tank of gas will provide adequate of range along with mileage of fuel estimated in 100 mpg neighborhood. Specifications for the US version of this bike are provided by the  [...]

  • Honda Launches Dream Yuga in India
    HMC or Honda Motor Co. recently launched 110cc Dream Yuga for India, & it is their cheapest motor bike ever. This move was trigged by the goal of the company to double their revenues that were generated from motor cycle sales in India & to compete along with Hero MotoCorp. Limited. This company will now focus on market of India for next ten years with expected export increase to 150,000 motor bikes by the year 2013 from about 111,000 bikes in the last year. This company expects about 30 percent of the revenues from the motorcycles to get generated from India by the year 2020 as compared to current level of 13 percent.  This new bike is priced @ INR 44,642 (or US $819) in showrooms of New Delhi.   • Honda Motor Co sees 30 pc motorbike revenue from India by 2020
    Honda Motor Co launched their 1st mass-market motor cycle in India & their cheapest motor bike world wide recently, as it looks to tap the emerging low-cost markets including doubling the share of India of the motor cycle revenue by the year 2020. Honda, ended their 26-years joint venture along with India Hero MotoCorp in the month of March in last year with $851 million deal, recently announced fresh investment about 20 billion rupees (or $373 million) and it is now looking to get better of the former partner, which is current leader of market.
