Prices for Triumphs’ New 2012 Models Announced

The long wait to find out the prices of the new models from Triumph is finally over as Triumph Motorcycles have announced the retail prices for their new 2012 models in United States. The models for which the pricing have been proclaimed include the likes of Speed Triple R, Tiger Explorer and Steve McQueen Edition. The Triumph Tiger Explorer is the company’s first entry in the first-class adventure touring segment of the biking world. The Tiger Explorer has a brand new 3-cylinder 1,215cc engine as its heart, and pumps an estimated 137-bhp of max power for the bike. The Triumph Tiger Explorer also comes with electric ABS brakes, which are shaft final driven here, traction control and cruise control, all of those features as standard features. The Tiger Explorer has a price tag of $15,699 and will be entering the market in May 2012.

Alongside the Tiger Explorer of the 2012 range of Triumph is the Speed Triple R ABS, which basically is an exclusive variant of legendary Speed Triple of Triumph. The newfangled Speed Triple R has Speed Triple as its platform, but this time around it comes with developed-specification chassis mechanisms for enhancing the handling. The Speed Triple R also features Öhlins suspension that is MotoGP-developed in rear and front, frivolous PVM bogus aluminum wheels and Brembo monoblock brakes, in addition to sporty fresh graphics and colors. The Triumph Speed Triple R ABS will be having a retail price of $15,999 as it enters the market this March.

One another model which is new for model year 2012 is the Steve McQueen Edition, which is a limited-run model and only 1100 of these, will be manufactured. The Steve McQueen Edition is based on classic Bonneville T100 and pays tribute to the love of the actor for Triumph motorcycles. The Steve McQueen Edition comes loaded with a wide assortment of revised parts and an antique color scheme. Completely licensed by the icon’s estate of Hollywood, each of the 100 models of the bike will be separately numbered and will be offered with a certified authenticity. The Triumph Steve McQueenTM Edition will be having a retail price of $9,999 and will be entering the showrooms in June.
